On March 20, 2011 the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church congregation will be asked to vote on extending a call to Rev. Dirk Miedema. An 80% majority will be required. Signed proxy votes will be accepted by the clerk anytime before March 20, 2011. The Senior Pastor Search Committee is unanimous in their recommendation and is confident that Rev. Miedema has the strengths in ministry that match the priorities set by our congregation. Please pray that God’s will be done as we seek His leading and guiding.

On Tuesday, March 15, 2011 an informal evening is planned by the Senior Pastor Search Committee to give everyone an opportunity to meet Rev. Miedema and his wife, Grace. The evening is being held in the Fellowship Hall of the church. There will be desserts and refreshments available at 7:00pm with an introduction and time for questions and answers with Rev. Miedema and Grace starting at 7:30pm. Following this, at around 8:30pm, the evening will close with a time of fellowship for those who want to stay to finish off the refreshments and desserts. We encourage everyone, teenagers to seniors, to try to make it out, especially if you have any questions.

On October 3, 2010 Aylmer CRC hosted a youth service

Derrick Drover gave the message to a large group of young people and old people. Derrick challenged all of us (ordinary though we be) to be open to be powerfully used by God to do His work.

After the service we all had an excellent opportunity to celebrate our oneness in Christ by sharing together hot soup and buns. A big thanks to the many, many individuals who pitched in, in so many various ways, to make the entire service and supper run so smoothly.

You can listen to Derrick’s message by clicking here or by viewing the Sermon Archives

Aylmer Christian Reformed Church is blessed to have John Moelker in our midst as a summer intern pastor from Calvin Seminary. We wholeheartedly welcome John and his family and pray that he will be a blessing to us and we will be a blessing to him. Below is a short note from John and his family:

“Greetings, brothers and sisters in Christ. My wife Debora and I and our three girls (Lexa, Paige, Erin) arrived safely on June 5th and received a warm Aylmer welcome. We look forward to serving you and worshiping with you this summer. Even after a few days, we have been blessed by the body of Christ here and we thank you for that. A special thanks to the Board of Administration for putting us up in a “sweet” house in the country. It will be difficult to go back to Grand Rapids in the fall! Email: jmoelke5@calvinseminary.edu. God’s blessings, John, Debora, Lexa, Paige & Erin”
