Pastor of Congregational Life
Louis has been Pastor of Congregational Life here in Aylmer since September, 1996 and been in formal ministry for almost 18 years. He grew up on a dairy farm in Emo, a small town in Northwestern Ontario, and farmed there with an older brother for several years after high school before continuing his education at the University of Guelph. Louis is married to Penny 
and together they have four children, two girls and two boys. The oldest two, Rachael and Caleb are away at university/college while Bethany and Jonathan are in grades twelve and ten respectively at London and District Christian Secondary School. Louis continues to enjoy his work at the church, particularly in the area of pastoral care. He is currently in his fifth year of being the chair of the local ministerial and appreciates the strong bond of fellowship and cooperation they continue to experience as part of the greater body of Christ in our community. He loves the outdoors and can often be seen cycling in the countryside or around town. This past summer, 2008, he was privileged to participate in a 6500km “Sea to Sea” cycling trek from Seattle to Jersey City, along with some 200 other cyclists to raise funds and awareness for World Poverty Causes.
