Church Education

The Aylmer Christian Reformed Church has an active church education program to encourage, develop, and support people in their faith.

JUNIOR SUNDAY SCHOOL

For children, ages 3 – 5 (children are excused during the morning service to go to their classes). We use the very popular “Walk With Me” curriculum, a recently developed program that is faithful, highly interactive, friendly, and fun. Kids will love coming to Sunday School. And you as parents can be rest assured that your child is being nurtured in the faith and beginning to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The children receive colorful take-home papers or cards every week.

SENIOR SUNDAY SCHOOL

For children grades 1-6 (Classes meet from September through May; children are excused during the morning service to go to their classes). Resources are a continuation of the “Walk With Me” curriculum. Kids at this age want variety! This curriculum gives kids a new student resource format every four weeks – sometimes it’s a magazine, or a journal, or a comic book, or a devotional,… You get the idea. There’s nothing like keeping them on their toes with a wide variety of material.

CATECHISM INSTRUCTION

For grades 7-12 (Classes meet every Tuesday evening from 7:00pm to 7:45pm; end of September – April). While resource materials vary, dependent on the age group, all of them are a natural progression from Sunday School and intentionally seek to guide the student in understanding the deeper issues of their faith walk with Jesus, encouraging them to grow in their personal relationship with him and make that lifelong commitment of service to him.
